About Hypnosis

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of awareness and while in this relaxed state one is more open to positive suggestions. The hypnotic state heightens memory and perceptions and can act as a catalyst toward rapid healing, enhanced creativity along with countless other benefits.

Does Hypnosis Really Work?

Yes, and it is one of the most pleasant and natural therapies available!  It's a very relaxed state of well being - You are always in control of your own thoughts and your outcomes!

Can Anyone Become Hypnotized?

Yes, whether you realize it or not it happens to you several times a day.

How Does Hypnosis Work?

This coincides with the previous question. The hypnotic state automatically occurs anytime you become deeply relaxed or highly focused (almost like daydreaming). Have you ever spaced out while driving a car, while reading a good book, or when watching an exciting movie? Thatís hypnosis. When you wake up and go to sleep it the theta state when you hear things around you but your so relaxed you donít care. Thatís hypnosis.

What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?

Itís a pleasant state of deep relaxation. Imagine yourself sitting in your favorite chair with your eyes closed and not a care in the world. It's daydreaming with a guide

Common Fallacies of Hypnosis

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not sleep or a state of unconsciousness.  While hypnotized you will generally hear and remember most of what has been said. You will never be out-of-control during sessions and can freely choose to disregard any suggestions that are made to you due to the fact that only your suggestions will be stated to you. Hypnosis helps you to become more inclined to do things that you want to do

What Happens if I Stay in Hypnosis?

Impossible! You always come back to your normal reality even if you do self-hypnosis. Remember you are always in control.

How Many Sessions of Hypnosis are Needed?

Itís always on an individual basis. There is a minimum of  three sessions and sometimes more. It depends on each persons needs and situation. I always offer a free telephone consultation.

Is a Deep State of Hypnosis Necessary for the Hypnosis to Work?

Absolutely not! In many cases, a light state of hypnosis is just as effective as a deep state.

What Can Hypnosis Be Used For?
